Sup and savour cask ales from Sussex, plus local bottled cider, ginger beer, ales and lager. Includes Dark Star, Hammerpot and Arundel Brewery. Just turn up.

Natural Food Smoking with Besmoke Foods
Besmoke Foods, the UK’s leading naturally smoked ingredients company, provide an opportunity to discover more about running and growing an artisan food business in Sussex. See how they apply the art and science of smoke to create naturally smoked ingredients for the food industry, using mainly oak, all from sustainable sources. Plus tastings of products from Ginger’s Kitchen of Partridge Green.

Come along to the Book Ferret and share your favourite recipes that involve local and seasonal produce. Jot down the ingredients & instructions and then all recipes will go on show so that other people can take inspiration and take recipe ideas away with them.

Arundel Food Festival Treasure Hunt
A fun and engaging food and drink related Treasure Hunt from xtra-ordinaryxperiences that will take you on a walk around the town using a set of clues, suitable for all. The clues can be completed anytime during the festival and then handed back in. The Treasure Hunt entry form and clues are available and should be returned to Swan Hotel, High St. All correct entries will be entered into the Xtra-Ordinary 2012 prize draw to win an Xtra-Ordinary Luxury Hamper worth over £40.

Special Local Menu & Tastings at Belinda’s Tearoom
Slindon pumpkin soup, traditional steak & kidney pudding with beef from Arundel Butcher, plus a crumble using apples from Warningcamp. Also tastings of their famous, special-recipe rock cakes plus other sweet treats.

Music & Food at the Eagle Inn
Throughout the Food Festival the Eagle Inn will be organising a series of themed evenings with live music, including a Spanish evening with classical Spanish guitarists Tom and Ash on Thursday 25th October at 8pm, and a Malt Whisky Masterclass with Canape Pairings (£15 per person) on Sunday 28th at 7.30pm (booking essential for both evenings).

A Food Festival special made using Sussex Charmer Cheese and a locally produced chutney sourced from Arundel Farmer’s Market.

Cheesemaking Workshops
Hands-on cheese making workshop for lovers of fine food. Learn how to make six delicious soft cheeses in just one day: Camembert, Brie, Feta, Quark, Ricotta, Mascarpone and Greek style yoghurt. The 6 hour class includes refreshments, lunch with wine and a selection of cheeses to take home at the end of the day.
