Arundel.orgThe 2013 Arundel Food Festival is now over, but we have left these pages live to give a flavour of the type of event that takes place each year.
Work on the 2014 Festival is already underway, and we’d welcome hearing from anyone who would like to be involved as a committee member, event organiser, venue, sponsor or volunteer.

Saturday 19 October, 9am – 1pm
Arundel Farmers’ Market
What better way to kick-start the Food Festival than Arundel’s very own Farmers’ Market? More than 40 stalls, bringing together food and drink suppliers from across West Sussex in a showcase of the fantastic produce to be found in our local area. Look out for tastings at various stalls.

Bread Making with The Hungry Guest
Danish-born Master Baker Troels Bendix from The Hungry Guest explains sour-dough and gives practical advice on making your own bread.

The Sussex Breakfast
Harrie’s Coffee and The Hungry Guest bring you a simple Sussex Breakfast to get your day started – locally supplied Fairtrade coffee, locally made artisan bread and locally made jam!

A Taste of the Past
Arundel Museum celebrates food through the ages, with authentic recipes from Roman times through to the 21st Century for visitors to try. Be amazed by the flavours and then experiment at home.

Sussex Gin & Vermouth tasting at Pallant of Arundel
Meet Blackdown Spirits, the original Sussex producer of Gin, Vermouth & other spirits; nestled within the foothills of the Blackdown Hills and surrounded by the beauty of the South Downs National Park, these spirits are handcrafted at Lurgashall Winery using only carefully hand selected ingredients sourced from the surrounding area.

Meet the farmer from Kirdford (www.gardenquails.com) who produces quails, eggs & poultry, with tastings & free recipes.

Food Festival Fudge Making Fun
Watch Roly’s create their special Fairtrade espresso coffee fudge for the Food Festival, with pourings and demonstrations throughout the weekend (see chalkboard in shop window for timings of fudge pourings). Coffee provided by local coffee roasters and suppliers, Edgcumbes of Ford.

Cheese-Making Workshops at Sage
